About the Role

We are seeking a Global Account Director - Automotive & Industrial to lead and grow a portfolio of strategic global customers. This highly visible role is responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, customer retention, and long-term account development across some of the world's leading Automotive, Industrial Manufacturing, Tier Supplier, EV Battery, and Aftermarket organizations.

As the global account leader, you will build executive-level relationships, develop and execute multi-year account strategies, and partner with customers to deliver transformational supply chain solutions. You will collaborate across commercial, operations, product, and technology teams to expand customer partnerships through integrated logistics, digital solutions, and value-added services while supporting the company's global growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Global Account Leadership

  • Own the commercial performance of a portfolio of strategic Automotive and Industrial accounts, including revenue growth, gross profit, pricing strategy, and account retention.
  • Serve as the primary global customer contact and executive escalation point.
  • Build strong relationships across customer organizations, from operational stakeholders to C-suite leadership.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer supply chains, including inbound logistics, aftermarket operations, EV battery logistics, 4PL solutions, reverse logistics, and lifecycle services.
  • Lead business reviews, customer governance meetings, and RFQ activities to drive customer engagement and growth.

Strategic Growth & Account Development

  • Develop and execute multi-year account plans aligned with customer objectives and company growth initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand share of wallet through new geographies, additional service offerings, and technology-enabled solutions.
  • Drive large-scale opportunity development, commercial negotiations, and contract management.
  • Deliver sustainable revenue growth through cross-selling Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Road Transportation, Contract Logistics, Warehousing, and digital supply chain solutions.

Solution Design & Digital Integration

  • Partner with Solution Design, Operations, Engineering, and Technology teams to develop end-to-end supply chain solutions.
  • Support implementation of transportation management systems, warehouse management systems, control tower solutions, visibility platforms, and other digital offerings.
  • Translate customer requirements into scalable logistics solutions that improve efficiency, visibility, and supply chain performance.
  • Champion data-driven decision making, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Commercial Excellence

  • Lead pipeline management and opportunity governance for assigned accounts.
  • Support regional teams in pursuing and implementing complex multi-country opportunities.
  • Ensure pricing discipline, margin optimization, and contract compliance.
  • Promote standardized solutions and best practices across global regions and business units.
  • Support integration and growth initiatives resulting from acquisitions and organizational transformation efforts.

Industry Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert within Automotive and Industrial supply chains.
  • Represent the organization in customer strategy discussions, industry events, and executive meetings.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, sustainability initiatives, and evolving supply chain requirements.

What We Are Looking For

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in global logistics, supply chain management, freight forwarding, or transportation.
  • 8+ years of experience in global account management, strategic sales, business development, or commercial leadership.
  • Proven success managing and growing strategic multinational Automotive and Industrial accounts.
  • Strong understanding of Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Contract Logistics, Warehousing, and multimodal transportation solutions.
  • Experience developing and executing global account growth strategies.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex negotiations, RFQs, RFPs, and contract management activities.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience managing revenue, profitability, pricing, and business performance metrics.
  • Executive presence with exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to influence and lead within a complex global matrix organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
  • Experience supporting Automotive OEMs, Tier Suppliers, EV Battery manufacturers, Industrial Manufacturing companies, or Aftermarket customers.
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), control towers, and supply chain visibility platforms.
  • Experience designing and implementing end-to-end supply chain solutions.
  • Knowledge of supply chain digitization, automation, sustainability initiatives, and emerging logistics technologies.
  • Fluency in additional languages beyond English.
