This position will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, project managers, contractors, and others as required to establish accurate estimates from the planning stage through the project bid-out stage and is required to have the following skills: • Understand and able to read and analyze construction blue prints (plans, specification). • Performing accurate quantity take offs using plans and specifications, or conceptual information. • Review, interpret and accurately estimate the scope of assigned work as described in the project documents. • Utilizing and managing in-house historical cost data to improve estimate accuracy. Apply costs and rates, as provided by Director of Estimating. • Request, organize and negotiate vendors quotations to ensure the quotes meet contract documents • Develop and nurture subcontractor/vendor and client relationships. • Evaluate changes in scope per updates bid documents. • Assist PM in providing change order estimates. • Work and collaborate with Team Members • Participate in Value engineering reviews. • Participate in negotiating construction cost estimates with other parties. Requirements: • Minimum five years minimum of curtainwall, storefront, window wall estimating, and/or project management experience for complex vertical construction projects. • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering or Construction Management or related experience. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
