We are seeking a Project Management Systems Manager - Major Projects with strong field construction experience, particularly in project controls, to join our Major Projects team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the implementation, deployment, and support of management systems for large-scale construction projects delivered through joint ventures or alternative delivery models.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in construction project controls, a solid understanding of project management systems, and outstanding interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
What you will do
• Contribute to major project and alternative delivery bid pursuits, with a focus on integrated management systems.
• Define the strategy, deployment roadmap, schedule, and priorities for integrated management systems implementation.
• Develop, deploy, and continuously improve project controls systems, tools, processes, and governance frameworks.
• Oversee project start-up activities, mobilization, and the establishment of project governance structures.
• Coordinate technical teams responsible for deploying systems supporting key project functions.
• Ensure systems and processes are aligned with contractual requirements, project management plans, and internal procedures.
• Monitor project performance, analyze variances, and support the management of risks, issues, changes, and opportunities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to project leadership teams on systems, processes, and industry best practices.
• Prioritize requests, support tickets, and development sprints based on operational needs and deployment priorities.
• Develop functional documentation, user guides, and training materials, while coordinating user onboarding and adoption activities.
• Conduct project reviews, follow-up assessments, and lessons-learned exercises to support continuous improvement and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
• Lead, recruit, coach, and supervise team members assigned to integrated management systems and project support functions.
This role could be for you if you have
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional project management certification (such as PMP or PgMP) is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management and project controls, including at least 5 years in a leadership role on large-scale construction projects.
• Proven expertise in project management systems, tools, and methodologies, including schedule management, cost control, risk management, and change management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with project management software such as Primavera P6, SAP, InEight, EcoSys, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to drive process improvements and optimize project performance.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while effectively managing multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
