To support this evolution, Pomerleau is seeking a strategic and collaborative leader to bridge business teams with Data and AI experts. This role will help identify and prioritize opportunities where AI can create impact, align the right stakeholders, and ensure initiatives progress from experimentation to tangible outcomes.
Reporting across business domains rather than within a single function, this individual will lead the adoption and activation of AI throughout the organization. They will work closely with operational and functional teams to clarify priorities, assess and qualify use cases, support communities developing AI-enabled solutions, and promote visibility into the value delivered. Acting as a key connector between strategy, business needs, and AI capabilities, this role will help shape how Pomerleau leverages AI to drive innovation, efficiency, and long-term growth.
What you will do
• Tailor AI adoption strategies to the maturity, priorities, and operational realities of each business function.
• Analyze workflows, identify pain points, and uncover opportunities where AI can create measurable value.
• Design and implement activation journeys aligned with specific functions, business units, and operational teams.
• Advise stakeholders on where to focus efforts and resources, including areas to deepen, activate, explore, or defer.
• Assess and qualify AI use cases by evaluating business problems, feasibility, value potential, and associated risks.
• Manage and maintain the AI initiative portfolio, from ideation through value realization.
• Define expected business outcomes before solution development and measure actual results following deployment.
• Recommend whether initiatives should be continued, expanded, maintained, or retired based on performance and impact.
• Establish the governance, certification, and monitoring mechanisms required for scalable, repeatable, and responsible AI deployment.
• Build, engage, and support the organization's network of AI Champions and Builders.
• Promote the sharing of best practices, lessons learned, and reusable solutions across teams.
• Accelerate team autonomy through coaching, enablement, training, and ongoing support.
• Design and continuously evolve certification pathways for users, power users, and Builders.
• Measure adoption, skill development, and enablement needs to support the organization's long-term AI maturity and success.
This role could be for you if you have
• 5+ years of professional experience, including demonstrated success in building and structuring a cross-functional function or practice from the ground up.
• A proven ability to influence, engage, and align senior leaders and teams without direct managerial authority.
• Strong experience managing portfolios of initiatives, including opportunity qualification, prioritization, decision-making, and value measurement.
• Expertise in change management and technology adoption across large organizations.
• A solid understanding of generative and agentic AI, with the ability to challenge solutions, ask the right questions, and effectively collaborate with technical teams.
