APP for General Surgery Surgery Care Division Atrium Health General Surgery Matthews, NC We are looking for a surgical PA with a team mindset, interest in urgent/emergent and elective general surgery and who wants to make an impact in a rapidly growing suburban community near Charlotte, NC.
Details about the opportunity include: - At least 1 year of General Surgery experience required.
- OR experience required, specifically laparoscopic experience.
- We serve the Union County community including Monroe, Waxhaw, and Indian Trail with two current practice locations - one in Monroe and one in Matthews.
- Inpatient and outpatient coverage.
- Practice has been in place since 2014.
- Bread and butter general surgery and endoscopy.
- Increasing practice and OR volume since 2016.
Atrium Health Union West - Overview (Matthews, NC) Atrium Health Union West is a state-of-the-art, community-based hospital located in Matthews, North Carolina, serving the rapidly growing western Union County region. Opened in 2021-2022, the facility functions as a full-service hospital, emergency department, and specialty care center designed to provide convenient access to high-quality inpatient and outpatient care.
The hospital includes approximately 40 inpatient beds, a 24/7 emergency department, advanced imaging and laboratory services, and multiple operating rooms and procedural suites supporting surgical care.
From a general surgery perspective, Atrium Health Union West supports a broad range of both elective and urgent surgical services in a community setting. The general surgery program provides inpatient and outpatient coverage with access to modern operating rooms and perioperative support services.
