Audi NoviWe are looking for a General Sales Manager to lead, develop, and inspire our sales team at Audi Novi This role is a key driver of performance, culture, and customer experience.
What You'll Do
- Sales Process Management
- Ensure vehicles sales goals are attained by holding Sales Manager and Sales Representatives accountable to Lithia sales process and customer experience.
- Manage daily activity of Sales Managers and sales staff using the daily work plan in LSMS to ensure sales volume and productivity goals are met.
- Ensure Sales Managers are engaging directly with the customer. When there isn't enough Sales Management coverage, GSM engages directly with customer.
- Walk lot everyday with sales team to ensure knowledge of vehicle pricing and excellent condition of inventory, advertising, banners and area grounds.
- Sales Staff Recruiting, Training and Development
- Train Sales Managers and sales staff daily using meeting-in-a-box, role-play, storyboards, product demonstrations and product quizzes to ensure all are well versed in the sales process and manufacturer product knowledge.
- Develop effective sales staff by communicating expected performance standards, monitoring performance, identifying development needs, coaching and mentoring.
- Customer Engagement
- Ensure all customers greeted promptly in a professionally and friendly manner.
- Address and resolve escalated customer concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist Sales Representatives with customers when needed in order to ensure sale of vehicle.
- Remain aware of all customers on lot and ensure their customer buying experience is progressing as expected.
- Administrative Duties
- Prepare and communicate work schedules for all sales related staff.
- Complete all month-end procedures accurately and on time.
- Participate in store meetings including, but not limited to, Sales Receivables, Save-a-Deal and Store Manager meetings.
- Track ad sourcing by communicating with customers to identify what brought them to the store.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of automotive sales leadership experience, with at least 2+ years as a Sr. Sales Manager or GSM in a franchise dealership
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and profitability goals
- Strong knowledge of OEM processes, inventory management, and dealership financials
- Experience with dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds) and CRM tools
- Solid understanding of F&I processes and compliance regulations in the U.S.
- Experience with digital retailing and omnichannel sales strategies
- OEM certification or leadership training programs, Ford being preferred
- Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.
