ABOUT THE ROLE
Location: Vancouver store
Status: Full-Time
Compensation: $115,000-$120,000/yr
Position Summary: The General Manager is the expert on all things Kith within their store. They are focused on consistently providing the best-in-class customer experience, as well as achieving operational excellence. The General Manager is confident in driving results both through delegation and follow-up, as well as leading by example. The General Manager is the ultimate team leader, who is comfortable in all areas of the store and is always ready to jump in and support their staff. The General Manager can alternate between the sales floor, stockroom and leading high-level walkthroughs or phone calls. Consistently utilizing their advanced business acumen, they partner with all appropriate business partners to drive business results that are in the best interest of the brand. Utilizing effective communication, they remain up to date on everything happening across all aspects of the business, including but not limited to retail and food & beverage.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Responsibilities:
Effectively manage and oversee all daily business matters of their assigned store.
Drive best-in-class service through all levels of their staff.
Partner with all leaders in their building, including Food & Beverage leadership to ensure efficiency across all aspects of the business.
Continuously monitor all business administration to best maximize the in-store experience for all our customers, including but not limited to payroll, time & attendance, vacation, and PTO accrual.
Support Operations team to ensure the consistent execution of all operational processes.
Partner with the Remote Warehouse team for effective product flow.
Create developmental plans for their Managerial team to drive a positive and supportive work environment.
Efficiently communicate with all HQ business partners including but not limited to the Executive team, Human Resources, Buying & Allocation team, and Visual Merchandising team.
Immediately address and resolve any in-store issues that are left unresolved by the Management team.
Partner with the Security & Facilities Manager to ensure a consistent safe working & shopping environment is provided, while maintaining compliance with all legal requirements.
Stay updated on all in-store initiatives including but not limited to product releases/drops and visual changes.
Remain continuously updated on all security & facilities matters throughout all retail, F&B and storage spaces (onsite & offsite) through partnerships and frequent conversations with all Retail and Food & Beverage Leadership.
Focus on maintaining a positive, encouraging, and supportive working environment by properly addressing any Employee Relation or Human Resources matters through the appropriate channels.
Facilitate all store training/developmental initiatives, while also providing developmental opportunities for the Management team.
Oversee and assist with housekeeping responsibilities including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, collection of trash, and other tasks traditionally associated with standard retail operations.
Special Projects/Tasks:
Assist with Inventory counts as business needs require.
Host any store visits or VIP shopping experiences.
Communicate any Product Knowledge or Brand Education material to the store team.
Ensure all in-store facilities are properly and safely working and communicating any issues that need immediate attention with the appropriate parties.
Provide high-level business insight at the request of HQ business partners.
REQUIREMENTS
Availability:
Open & flexible availability, including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as Holidays.
Availability to consistently work weekends, special projects, drops/releases or as the business needs require.
Experience:
5+ years in a High-Volume/High-Traffic customer-facing management role
4+ years of retail/apparel operations experience
3+ years in leading a team of managers and supervisors
2+ years leading a commission-based sales team
Skills/Abilities:
Advanced business acumen for proper sales and payroll forecasting
Thorough communication
Effective delegation and follow up
Comprehensive Computer skills. Including but not limited to Google Suite, Microsoft Suite and Point of Sale systems
Ability to lift and move 25lbs.
Ability to perform standard tasks that are related to retail operations including but not limited to, bending, twisting, and climbing ladders/step stools.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
