The position at a glanceAs part of the General Ledger (GL) Development team supporting the LAP and One Financial System (OFS) General Ledgers, this role supports BNP Paribas' mission by designing and maintaining high-quality software solutions. The Analyst assists in the production of scalable applications and provides essential application support to ensure system efficiency. Through continuous innovation and quality assurance, the position helps maintain the integrity of our financial software infrastructure.
In detail- Design scalable software solutions by assisting in project studies and functional documentation to meet business partner needs.
- Develop high-quality code following security standards and best practices to ensure robust system performance.
- Optimize existing code and configurations through regular maintenance to improve overall system efficiency.
- Execute testing lifecycles, including unit and user acceptance testing, to guarantee compliance with technical standards.
- Support deployment activities and system rollouts across various environments to facilitate seamless software transitions.
- Resolve system issues through diligent application support and troubleshooting to maintain operational continuity.
- Establish technical documentation and procedures to ensure the long-term maintainability of legacy systems.
- Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to ensure the timely and successful completion of platform projects.
- Research new information technologies and proof-of-concepts to drive continuous innovation within the team.
Work conditions: This position provides for standard working conditions in an office and a normal work schedule from Monday to Friday. This position requires little travel.
The strengths and skills that will help you succeed- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on practical experience with C++, SQL, KSH/UNIX, or Python.
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- The knowledge of English and French is required. *
- Reasoned problem solving when identifying and resolving complex technical issues.
- Collaborative teamwork when working within multi-cultural environments and developer networks.
- Dependable technical documentation when recording system procedures and functional requirements.
