Who You'll Work With

We are hiring a Senior Principal to help expand and lead MAX in the Pacific Northwest. This role is for a leader-level marketing and advertising strategy consultant who can shape executive conversations, build trusted client relationships, sell and deliver high-value work, and connect growth strategy with the platforms, data, measurement, and operating capabilities required to make it real.

What You'll Do
  • Lead executive-level advisory engagements across marketing and advertising strategy, customer growth, media effectiveness, measurement, personalization, customer data, marketing operations, and experience technology.
  • Help clients define growth priorities across acquisition, engagement, conversion, retention, and ROI, then translate those priorities into actionable roadmaps, operating models, business cases, and transformation programs.
  • Shape and sell MAX opportunities in the Pacific Northwest by identifying whitespace, developing client relationships, solutioning work, writing proposals, and partnering with Slalom teams across CX, data, technology, strategy, and industry practices.
  • Guide clients through modern marketing and advertising challenges, including audience strategy, media optimization, retail media networks, loyalty, customer data strategy, identity, consent and privacy, attribution, incrementality, analytics, and performance reporting.
  • Advise on marketing and experience technology strategy, including platform selection, MarTech and AdTech roadmaps, CDPs/CRM, marketing automation, analytics, tag management, data clean rooms, and Google, Adobe, Salesforce, and other ecosystem platforms.
  • Help marketing organizations adapt to AI-driven disruption by identifying high-value use cases, redesigning operating models and workflows, enabling responsible internal adoption of AI tools, and advising on how AI search and answer engines are reshaping customer discovery, decision-making, and conversion.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams through ambiguous client problems, balancing strategy, delivery quality, commercial outcomes, team development, and executive stakeholder management.
  • Expand Slalom's market presence through thought leadership, partner relationships, client storytelling, and contributions to the continued growth of the MAX capability.

What You'll Bring
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, customer growth, digital strategy, MarTech/AdTech, or marketing analytics, with at least 3 years leading teams, workstreams, or client accounts.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with a track record of shaping ambiguous problems, building executive-ready recommendations, and influencing senior marketing, digital, media, analytics, and technology stakeholders.
  • Depth in several areas of the marketing and advertising ecosystem, such as media strategy, performance marketing, audience activation, measurement, loyalty, customer data, marketing operations, content operations, personalization, or marketing technology.
  • Ability to connect business strategy to execution: defining use cases, operating models, capability roadmaps, business cases, requirements, governance, and delivery plans that create measurable client outcomes.
  • Demonstrated business development experience, including account growth, opportunity qualification, proposal development, solution design, storytelling, and support for closing consulting services work.
  • Working knowledge of major marketing and advertising technology ecosystems, including some combination of Adobe, Google, Salesforce, CRM/CDP, marketing automation, analytics, tag management, clean room, media, and campaign platforms.
  • A people-first leadership style with experience mentoring consultants, building capability, partnering across practices, and creating inclusive, high-performing teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • You lead engagements that move beyond generic strategy and produce clear priorities, measurable outcomes, practical roadmaps, and momentum for client teams.
  • You help grow a connected team of marketing, advertising, analytics, data, and experience technology consultants through coaching, collaboration, and capability-building.
  • You contribute to Slalom's voice in the market by bringing informed perspectives on AI-enabled marketing, personalization, content supply chain, modern measurement, and the future of customer growth.
  • You demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning by staying ahead of emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in the rapidly evolving marketing landscape.

For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges: The targeted base salary pay range for Senior Principal is $177,000 to $221,000. n addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
