Principal Program Manager, Delivery Leadership

This role is not eligible for 100% remote work. Employees must live within a commutable distance of the Louisville, Kentucky metropolitan area and must be willing to be onsite at the client 5 days a week.

What You'll Do

• Lead complex, cross-functional business and technology programs from strategy through execution, ensuring delivery outcomes align with client objectives and measurable business value.
• Provide delivery leadership across multiple workstreams, teams, vendors, and stakeholders, driving alignment, governance, and accountability throughout the program lifecycle.
• Define program vision, scope, roadmaps, timelines, dependencies, risks, and success metrics in partnership with executive sponsors and delivery teams.
• Drive large-scale modernization, digital transformation, migration, and enterprise change initiatives by establishing delivery frameworks, governance structures, and operating rhythms that enable predictable outcomes.
• Oversee program execution through proactive resource planning, risk management, financial oversight, and stakeholder communications while guiding agile delivery teams through ceremonies and delivery governance.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with executive stakeholders, technology leaders, and client teams, providing strategic guidance and facilitating complex decision-making.
• Translate business objectives into actionable delivery plans while connecting product, program, and project efforts to broader organizational goals.
• Leverage AI-powered tools and delivery analytics to improve forecasting, reporting, decision-making, and operational efficiency across programs and portfolios.
• Support business development through solution shaping, estimation, proposal development, and executive-level client conversations.
• Coach and mentor project managers, program managers, product leaders, and consultants while contributing to the continued evolution of Slalom's delivery methodologies and AI-enabled delivery practices.

What You'll Bring

• 10+ years of experience leading complex business and technology programs within consulting, healthcare, or large enterprise environments.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale transformation initiatives involving technology modernization, cloud migration, digital transformation, operating model change, or enterprise process improvement.
• Demonstrated success influencing executive stakeholders and driving alignment across business, product, and technology organizations.
• Strong program and project delivery expertise, including governance, risk management, dependency management, financial oversight, vendor coordination, and executive reporting.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across product, engineering, data, architecture, operations, and business functions.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into strategic business value and measurable outcomes.
• Deep understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies and the ability to tailor approaches based on client needs.
• Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools and automation to improve delivery execution, forecasting, reporting, and team productivity.
• Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to executive and C-level audiences.
• Healthcare industry experience is preferred; experience supporting regulated environments and large-scale transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
• PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Scrum Alliance, Scrum.org, Pragmatic Institute, or equivalent certifications are preferred.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges: The targeted base salary range for a Principal is $140,000 to $170,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
