Job Description

Level: Senior Consultant

**This role is not eligible for 100% remote work. Employees must live within a commutable distance of the Chicago metropolitan area and must be willing to be on-site at the client and/or Slalom Chicago office up to 5 days a week.**

What You'll Do
  • Lead the delivery of business and technology projects, ensuring successful outcomes aligned with client objectives.
  • Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and success measures in partnership with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Manage day-to-day delivery, including planning, resource coordination, risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder communications.
  • Deliver projects using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies based on client and engagement needs.
  • Apply AI-enabled tools and techniques to improve delivery efficiency, automate routine work, enhance reporting, and support informed decision-making.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including solution shaping, estimation, and proposal support.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to Slalom's delivery capability and knowledge sharing.


What You'll Bring
  • Strong project and program management experience delivering complex business and technology initiatives in consulting or large-enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading large, multi-workstream, cross-functional projects with significant budgets, complex dependencies, and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience delivering across both business and technology initiatives. Product Management experience is a plus.
  • Practical experience working on AI-related initiatives and incorporating AI tools into day-to-day delivery. Direct experience leading AI enablement or AI transformation programs is a plus, but not required.
  • A consulting mindset with the ability to build trusted client relationships, navigate ambiguity, influence without authority, and identify opportunities to add value beyond project execution.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, delivery methodologies, and modern ways of working, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively from delivery teams through executive leadership.
  • Experience supporting business development through solution shaping, estimation, or proposal development is preferred.
  • Industry experience is flexible, and we welcome candidates from a variety of sectors. Experience in Healthcare & Life Sciences, Financial Services, or Consumer & Retail is a plus.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar certification is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.

For this role, we are hiring at the following levels and targeted base pay salary ranges: The targeted base salary pay range for a Senior Consultant is $120,000 to $145,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
