Description The Gene Therapy Account Specialist (GTAS) are at the forefront of engaging key customers along the patient journey for individuals with hearing loss (i.e., Audiologists, Otolaryngologists / ENT Specialists). Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:- Develop strategy and implement tactics within key designated accounts in the otoferlin-related hearing loss market to establish new diagnostic pathways, identify patients, generate demand, and expand market share
- Responsible for crafting and maintaining Account Profiles (KOL's, Target HCPs, HCPs, etc.)
- Proactively identifies business opportunities with and leads appropriate coordination of effort by the Regeneron account team, e.g. supports pull-through activity with accounts
- Develop and complete integrated Account Plans based upon customer and market insights (via collaborative efforts across Regeneron matrix/functional partners)
- Establish relationships and develop rapport with designated account health care professionals and key partners; ultimately facilitating access to key decision makers and assisting in coordinating executive engagements at designated accounts.
- Lead local market analysis and gather insights in partnership with Regeneron functional partners to find opportunities, align responsibilities and prioritize activities supporting the rare disease business unit & patient needs
Requirements & Considerations for the role:- BA/BS degree required
- 7+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology sales experience and/or extensive clinical experience in the hearing loss space
- Previous experience working directly with or within designated key accounts and partners
- Proven experience with limited distribution specialty and/or orphan drugs; gene therapy experience encouraged
- Success leading institutional centers or accounts with multiple call-points (preferably comprised of multidisciplinary teams)
- Outstanding interpersonal, selling, presentation, influencing, and negotiation skills: you have highly developed consultative selling skills and help your customers find solutions to their needs or problems. You meet or exceed objectives.
- Leverage account management experience in calling on or working within large group practices and/or integrated delivery networks
- Ensure all account activities are conducted in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and timely CRM documentation (e.g., Veeva) for all account interactions, action plans, and opportunity tracking.
- Manage budget responsibilities including T&E, speaker programs, and account-level resources within approved parameters.
- A valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 60% required, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $175,000 to $185,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include a company car or car allowance and eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
