A typical workday in this role involves creating and managing detailed piping designs and models to ensure project requirements are met with precision and efficiency. Collaboration is key, as the role requires working closely with various teams and vendors to support power plant construction and start-up activities, ensuring seamless integration across disciplines. Additionally, the role includes contributing to quality assurance efforts and occasionally traveling to supervise project progress and vendor activities.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Responsible for issuing Piping Drawings for project specific applications.
  • Review, Control and Own 3D Piping Models.
  • Perform Pipe Stress Analysis and Pipe Support Calculations as required.
  • Write Technical specifications as required.
  • Co-ordinate with Piping Fabricators and Piping Insulation Vendors.
What You Bring
  • (Mechanical Engineering) from recognized university. GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Five or more years of piping engineering experience preferred.
  • Experience in performing pipe stress analysis by using PC based computer program. Preferable experience with AUTOPIPE.
  • Experience with ASME B31.1, ASME B16.5, AISC Latest Edition, and AWS.
  • Experience in using STAAD PRO for pipe support analysis
  • Experience in performing hand calculations for qualification of structural members, weld sizing, base plate qualification, anchor bolt evaluation, spring hangers, etc.
  • Familiarity with Bentley Open Plant is desirable.
