The Role

We are seeking a Game Security Analyst to help protect the integrity of the Call of Duty player experience by identifying, investigating, and actioning cheating behavior across our live titles.

As a Game Security Analyst, you will review suspicious player activity, analyze gameplay and enforcement data, and make high-confidence decisions that help remove cheaters from the ecosystem. Working closely with anti-cheat engineers, data scientists, and operations teams, you will contribute directly to the detection, validation, and enforcement processes that support fair play at scale.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong analytical skills with a passion for competitive gaming, player behavior analysis, and operational excellence.

What you bring to the table

The video game industry and therefore our business is fast-paced and will continue to evolve. As such, the duties and responsibilities of this role may be changed as directed by the Company at any time to promote and support our business and relationships with industry partners. Therefore, this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
  • Investigate suspicious player accounts using gameplay telemetry, behavioral signals, and internal anti-cheat tools.
  • Review evidence associated with potential cheating, exploitation, boosting, and other integrity violations.
  • Make accurate and consistent enforcement decisions, including account bans and other disciplinary actions.
  • Identify patterns, trends, and emerging cheating behaviors across the player population.
  • Partner with engineering and data teams to improve detection quality and reduce false positives.
  • Validate new anti-cheat detections before wide-scale deployment.
  • Support incident response during major cheating outbreaks, emerging exploits, or high-profile investigations.
  • Document investigative findings and maintain clear records of enforcement decisions.
  • Provide feedback on enforcement policies, workflows, and tooling to improve operational efficiency.
  • Help develop best practices that improve the consistency, accuracy, and effectiveness of player investigations.
  • Contribute to a culture of fairness, accountability, and continuous improvement in game security operations.

Minimum requirements

Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in game security, trust and safety, fraud detection, player support investigations, cybersecurity, or a related analytical field.
  • Experience investigating anomalous behavior, abuse, fraud, policy violations, or suspicious activity.
  • Proficient working with large datasets and identifying patterns in behavioral data.
  • Experience using SQL to analyze player activity data.
  • Experience working with investigative workflows and case management systems.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis techniques and metrics.

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to evaluate complex evidence.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $30.47 - $56.35 Hourly. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
