As a member of the COO L&D Training Team, the Fund Accounting Training Consultant will work collaboratively with team members to deliver training solutions to the assigned business unit. Under general direction the Training Consultant will assist with defining learning solutions that support the functional requirements. The Training Consultant role involves designing, delivering functional training solutions, analyses solutions for continuous improvement and undertakes appropriate operational and administrative aspects of the training curriculum.
Principal Responsibilities
- Works with management, performance consultants and/or subject matter experts to understand desired business outcomes and translate them into learning and organization development objectives.
- Works with stakeholders to determine appropriate learning methodologies and organization development solutions.
- Develops project plans including the identification of subject matter experts where appropriate.
- Develops facilitates and delivers learning and organization development programs.
- Maintains an inventory of training and organization development programs/tools and schedules their use according to management priorities.
- Evaluates training and organization development programs for effectiveness and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Delivers a work product that requires minimal revision.
- Serves as a key subject matter expert in program design and may mentor more junior staff.
- Handles all types of analysis.
- Represents the department in various meetings.
Area Specific Duties
- Coordinate/deliver the i2i programme mandatory curriculum within assigned geographic location.
- Liaise with both managers and participants to outline programme requirements.
- Continuous evaluation of the programme working with Fund Accounting Operations and all Stakeholders.
- Design, develop and maintain a training curriculum for the Fund Accounting function within the Global curriculums which can be implemented and delivered regardless of geographic location.
- Coordinate/deliver the new hire curriculum within your geographic location.
- Design and deliver training for existing systems and new system rollouts.
- Ensures that COO L&D learning and development interventions are aligned with the Business Unit and/or enterprise-wide needs.
- Consult with areas in the business unit to provide ongoing support.
- Work collaboratively with other Global Training Teams.
Skills / Experience
For this position, we are looking for an individual that fits one of two profiles below.
An experienced operations professional willing to develop their consulting, writing and presenting skills. Please note that a heavier weighting will be applied to a candidate with strong Fund Accounting functional knowledge.
Requirements include:
- Three to five years of experience in a Fund Accounting operations function
- A strong understanding of fund structures and concepts
- A working knowledge of the GIO InvestOne/Enterprise accounting platform is preferred but not essential for this role
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of staff.
- Self-starter and team player.
- Attention to detail.
An experienced training professional willing to quickly learn all aspects of the FA business unit.
Requirements include:
- Three to five years of training consulting experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience using ADDIE instructional design methodology.
- Experience with Captivate, Articulate or Easy Generator or similar is preferred.
- Strong instructional design and/or organizational development skills.
- Has either a broad knowledge of a wide range of tools and delivery techniques or is an expert within a specific content area or delivery methodology.
- Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions
- Experience in training/curriculum development, along with proficiency in Power BI, Copilot, and Microsoft 365 tools, would be advantageous
Salary Range:
$67,500 - 111,500
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
