Job DescriptionWhat will you do? - Lead a team of Fund Accountants in delivering timely and accurate daily NAVs for a group of mutual funds.
- Deliver timely and accurate year-end and month-end distributions.
- Ensure all deadlines and Service Level Agreements (SLA) are met.
- Enhance productivity and effective relationships with other departments.
- Minimize NAV discrepancies and ensure timely corrective action.
- Support the introduction of new technology and operational processes to effectively reduce cost, increase quality of service, and ensure accuracy
- Run client/fund event planning meetings.
- Complete annual & semi-annual performance reviews for staff and coaching staff.
What do you need to succeed?Must haves:- Degree or diploma in an Accounting or Finance related field
- Strong knowledge of the fund industry, products and financial markets
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for Investment Funds
- Good technical knowledge of calculating Net Asset Value and knowledge of accounting standards
- Strong Analytical skills, ability to Multitask and meet tight deadlines and exceptional problem-solving abilities
- Strong leadership & interpersonal skills
Nice-to-have: - Accounting designation or other professional designation is recommended
- Mutual fund Distribution and Taxation experience
