Responsibilities

Canyon Ridge Hospital is currently seeking a compassionate and talented Nurse Manager (RN) to join our team.

The Nurse Manger is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance & Improvement efforts, while providing supervision of LVNs/LPTs, RN's and MHWs. This position will monitor staffing needs on assigned shifts. This position is responsible for assisting the CNO in evaluating, reviewing, designing and implementing hospital training events with respect to all RN/MHW staff required training. Also provides, on as-needed basis, patient nursing assessments. Participate in Treatment Team meetings as needed.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • Licensure: Currently licensed Registered Nurse to practice by the California State Board of Nursing
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2 years experience in pychiatric nursing and nursing administration and or managment preferred.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Successful completion of training in Management of Aggressive Behavior (CPI) within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
