Job Description NOTE: This is primarily an on-site role in the City of Industry, CA with flexibility to work remotely 1-2 days per week.
We are seeking a talented, motivated, and thoughtful Full Stack Web Developer to help shape the next generation of Brighton's digital experiences. As part of our growing Engineering team, you'll play a key role in crafting new features for our digital platform - and also building the custom applications that power our ever-evolving ecosystem.
You'll bring strong technical expertise in developing solutions for various SaaS platforms, CMS ("content management systems"), and e-commerce platforms such as Shopify. This role reports to the VP, Digital.
Primary Responsibilities - Technology expertise: Ability to achieve business objectives through best practice software development practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations, to ensure technology solutions align with business needs and deliver value.
Here's what you'll bring: - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 3+ years of experience in web development.
- Solid understanding of frontend technologies and UX/UI implementation (Responsive web design). Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. Plus: JavaScript frontend framework experience, Vue.js preferred (React.js or similar frameworks is welcome)
- Knowledge of backend scripting languages (PHP, Node.js , Python, etc.).
- Hands-on experience using GraphQL/REST APIs. Nice to have: Experience building GraphQL/REST APIs, API authentication, versioning, and documentation best practices
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL. Nice to have: experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB/Redis), Snowflake or other data warehouse experience.
- Comfortable working in Linux environment and proficient with command line (CLI) tools.
- Familiarity with analytics instrumentation, SEO best practices, and accessibility (WCAG).
- Understanding of common DevOps principles (containerization, CI/CD, etc.) and version control (git).
- Experience on a software development team working in Agile, scrum, or other collaborative methodology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
