In this Full Stack Software Engineer II role, you will contribute to the development of scalable and maintainable frontend & back-end systems for an enterprise web platform. Work closely with senior engineers to build high-quality UI components, develop and integrate backend services and APIs and enhance user experience while following established architectural and design standards.
This position will sit at our
Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
This role is categorized as
hybrid, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote following the schedule assigned by the Manager.
What YOU will do:1. Frontend Development & Engineering Fundamentals
- Develop and maintain modular SPA components using React / Angular / Vue (Quasar preferred).
- Assist in implementing common design patterns such as:
Component composition
Basic use of Strategy / Observer patterns - Support state management implementation (Redux, Pinia, NgRx) under guidance.
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs to support enterprise application functionality.
- Implement business logic, data access, and integrations with databases and other enterprise services.
- Follow established front end & backend architecture, coding standards, security practices, and testing guidelines.
- Ensure clear separation of concerns between UI and business logic.
2. UI/UX Development
- Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces.
- Develop UI components for dashboards, workflows, and forms.
- Translate design specifications into functional UI elements.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and basic accessibility compliance.
- Support performance improvements for smooth UI interactions.
3. Performance & Optimization
- Implement basic optimization techniques such as lazy loading and code splitting.
- Write efficient, clean code to support scalable applications.
- Assist in identifying and fixing UI performance issues.
4. Engineering Practices
- Strong foundation in JavaScript (ES6+) and exposure to TypeScript.
- Understanding of core programming concepts (OOP, modular design).
- Contribute to unit and integration testing.
- Work within CI/CD pipelines (as a user/contributor).
Qualifications you must have:- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Frontend & back-end development experience.
Qualifications We Prefer:- Experience with JavaScript (ES6+)
- At least one frontend framework (React / Angular / Vue)
- Component-based architecture

- Experience building small to medium-scale web applications or features.
