Senior Full Stack Engineer (Java/Spring Boot, Angular/React)About the Role We are seeking a skilled
Senior Associate Full Stack Engineer to join a high-impact modernization initiative focused on building next-generation enterprise applications. This role combines strong backend engineering expertise with modern frontend development and offers the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical systems in a fast-paced financial services environment.
Project Overview You will be joining a
multi-year application modernization program focused on building new enterprise platforms and transforming existing applications. Current initiatives include:
- Developing new user experiences with Angular and React .
- Converting legacy Angular applications to React.
- Building scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka Supporting applications with critical business timelines, including one major production launch scheduled this year.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys hands-on development, modern technologies, and solving complex enterprise-scale challenges.What You'll Do- Design, develop, and support features end-to-end, from requirements refinement through production deployment.
- Build modern web applications using Angular or React and integrate them with backend services.
- Develop and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices and production-grade REST APIs.
- Work with Kafka and messaging-based architectures to enable scalable, event-driven solutions.
- Write efficient SQL queries and troubleshoot data-related performance issues.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of development practices.
- Collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams to deliver solutions on aggressive timelines.
- Support junior team members through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications- 5-8 years of hands-on full-stack software development experience.
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and building microservices.
- Strong frontend development experience with Hands-on experience with SQL , including complex joins, subqueries, and aggregations.
- Experience with or similar messaging platforms.
- Working knowledge of Docker , Kubernetes/OpenShift concepts, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and production support skills.
- Ability to work independently and own complex features with minimal oversight.
Preferred Qualifications
- React migration projects or frontend modernization initiatives.
- Exposure to Micro Frontends (MFE) Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot Experience working in regulated or financial services environments.
