Senior level: 185,000 - 200,000 USD

Note: Final level, team assignment, and compensation are determined during the interview process based on experience and fit.
About the Role

As a Full-stack Engineer on the Wallets Team, you will focus exclusively on building and scaling Crossmint's wallet infrastructure and programmable wallet platform that enterprises and developers use to onboard users, manage assets, and power financial flows across blockchains.

Your work will directly impact how companies integrate wallets that abstract private key complexity, gas mechanics, and blockchain interactions via secure APIs and SDKs. You will help ship enterprise-grade wallet services that developers rely on for production-ready systems.
Responsibilities

You will:
  • Write high-quality production code that is correct, secure, performant, and maintainable.
  • Build and scale wallet infrastructure components, including wallet creation, signing flows, transaction orchestration, and lifecycle management.
  • Implement and evolve programmable wallet primitives, such as modular signers, delegated transaction logic, and permissions enforced onchain.
  • Build backend services, APIs, and frontend tools that empower developers to integrate Crossmint wallets and developer experiences at scale.
  • Design scalable, secure systems that bridge onchain and offchain components while maintaining data integrity and compliance.
  • Contribute to architecture and design documentation to shape the long-term evolution of Crossmint wallet products.
  • Own features end to end from design to production deploy and iteration.
  • Participate in paid on-call rotations once or twice per quarter.
  • Mentor and support teammates to help grow the engineering organization.
About you

To thrive in this role, you should have:
  • Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years building production systems, ideally with backend and full-stack responsibilities.
  • Strong programming skills in at least one modern language such as TypeScript (Ideal), JavaScript, Java, Python, or similar.
  • Experience with wallet infrastructure, transaction systems, or blockchain-related services.
  • Solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals, including smart contract interactions, gas abstraction, and transaction lifecycles.
  • A product and ownership mindset with an ability to balance usability, security, and long-term reliability.
Strong Plus If You Have
  • Familiarity with EVM ecosystems, Solana, or multi-chain support.
  • Experience designing hybrid onchain/offchain wallet systems.
  • Prior experience at a crypto-native or Web3 engineering team.
  • Familiarity with secure key management and programmable permission systems.

Please keep in mind: This is the full list of everything we're looking for. You don't need to check every single box to be a strong candidate, and having a good number of these would already indicate a solid fit for the role.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Extensive access to leading AI tools and subscriptions, with AI actively encouraged and integrated into daily workflows.
  • We conduct two performance reviews annually. The first addresses performance ratings, bonuses, and promotions. The second encompasses these elements along with salary adjustments reflecting inflation and market conditions.
  • Stock options are part of every full-time offer. We want everyone here to be a genuine stakeholder in what we're building.
  • Unlimited, flexible PTO.
  • Parental Leave program.
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • Company laptop and allowance for any necessary home equipment.
  • Daily stipend for commuting to the office and/or meals.
  • Three company-paid off-sites per year.
  • Health, dental, vision, life, short-term disability (STD), and long-term disability (LTD) insurances.
  • 401(k) Plan.
