Job Summary
The Full Stack Engineer will support the development and enhancement of scalable, cloud-native healthcare SaaS applications, with a primary focus on backend development, API integration, business logic, and healthcare data interoperability within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The role will involve building reusable software components, developing data-driven applications, supporting healthcare interoperability standards, and working with Azure data and integration technologies to deliver reliable healthcare analytics and data exchange solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native applications.
• Build scalable and reusable software components that support multiple application modules.
• Develop and support healthcare interoperability solutions using standards such as FHIR and HL7.
• Develop and maintain business logic, transformation processes, and rules engines.
• Build and optimize data integrations using Azure technologies including Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Functions, and SQL Managed Instance.
• Support the exchange, retrieval, validation, and processing of healthcare and clinical data.
• Develop configurable and parameterized applications that promote scalability and reusability.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Leads, Scrum Masters, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in Agile planning, sprint ceremonies, and technical design discussions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to continuous platform enhancements.
• Develop and support healthcare data integrations involving EMR/EHR, claims, pharmacy, provider, and interoperability data as applicable.
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of software engineering or application development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python development.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure technologies.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Experience with Databricks and modern data platforms.
• Strong SQL and database development skills.
• Experience with data modeling and business logic development.
• Understanding of cloud architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience working with healthcare data integrations, EMRs/EHRs, FHIR, EDI, claims, pharmacy data, or healthcare interoperability standards.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience implementing FHIR APIs and healthcare interoperability solutions.
• Experience with HL7 integrations.
• Experience with Health Information Exchange (HIE) solutions.
• Experience with Carequality and/or CommonWell frameworks.
• Experience integrating with EMR/EHR systems.
• Knowledge of CCDA clinical documents and healthcare data exchange.
• Experience with Django, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience within healthcare, pharmacy, payer, provider, or healthcare technology environments.
• Experience working with claims data, pharmacy data, or provider network data.
