Full Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to develop and integrate front-end, back-end, API, database, testing, and application capabilities for a Federal data analytics and AI modernization initiative.

The team will deliver a secure, scalable platform that integrates structured and unstructured data, provides data visualization and traceable AI-assisted analytics, and gives examiners centralized tools for search, review, monitoring, and decision support. The platform will support professional judgment and will not replace authoritative agency financial or grants-management systems or execute financial transactions.

  • Design, develop, and integrate front-end, back-end, API, database, testing, and application components.
  • Build scalable and maintainable full-stack web applications using modern development frameworks and architectures.
  • Develop REST APIs, business logic, data-access layers, validation, logging, and error-handling mechanisms.
  • Design and integrate relational databases, data models, queries, and application data services.
  • Implement automated testing, source control, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize application performance, APIs, database operations, integrations, and system reliability.
  • Apply secure software development practices, including authentication, authorization, input validation, and secure API design.
  • Develop technical documentation covering application architecture, APIs, databases, deployment, testing, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, data scientists, AI/ML specialists, and UX/UI teams throughout development and testing.
  • Apply security, privacy, accessibility, data governance, and records-management requirements throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience developing full-stack applications using modern front-end, back-end, API, and database technologies.
  • Hands-on experience building REST APIs, business logic, data-access components, validation, logging, and error handling.
  • Experience with source control, automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD in an Agile development environment.
  • Strong knowledge of secure web development, accessibility, relational databases, API design, and modern web architectures.
  • Experience developing and integrating front-end and back-end applications.
  • Experience troubleshooting and optimizing application performance and system reliability.
  • Strong technical communication, documentation, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret eligibility.
  • Active Top Secret clearance highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing applications for Federal financial, grants, budget, payment, award oversight, or financial reporting systems.
  • Experience delivering software solutions in secure Federal, on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments.
  • Strong experience with Linux.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience with Java and/or .NET.
  • Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD automation.
  • Experience with self-hosted Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and/or Rancher.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML, LLM, or other advanced analytics capabilities into full-stack applications.
  • Familiarity with open-source AI models and AI-enabled application architectures.
