Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is mandatory.
  • 5+ years of software development experience, particularly in Java 8+ and C/C++.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PHP.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Tomcat and Elasticsearch.
  • Familiarity with Oracle databases and Spring Boot framework.
  • Understanding of RESTful web services and Solr.
  • Ability to work comfortably in a Linux environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications using Java, C/C++, and various scripting languages.
  • Manage and troubleshoot application interfaces ensuring seamless integration.
  • Implement and support web services using Apache Tomcat and Spring Boot.
  • Utilize Elasticsearch and Solr for efficient data retrieval and management.
  • Provide 24/7 emergency support on a rotating pager schedule, approximately one week every 4-6 weeks.
  • Engage in agile development practices using tools like JIRA and Confluence.

Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required.

Required technical skills include:
  • Java 8+
  • C/C++
  • Scripting (python, bash, php)
  • Apache Tomcat
  • Elasticsearch
  • Oracle
  • Spring Boot
  • RESTful web services
  • Solr
  • Comfortable working in a Linux environment
  • Understanding, maintaining, and troubleshooting interfaces between multiple applications


Additional desired technical skills may include experience with:
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Primefaces
  • Quarkus
  • Node.js
  • Lex/Yacc
  • Basic sysadmin skills (managing cron jobs, selinux, etc.)
  • reporting and dissemination tools
  • classification policies
  • Working in an agile environment using JIRA and Confluence

Candidates will be required to work a rotating pager schedule for emergency 24/7 call-in support as required (roughly one week out of every 4-6 weeks). Staff may charge 4 additional hours for the week they are on call in addition to hours worked.
