We are seeking a Full Stack Developer of an engineering team responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting web services, webpages, APIs, and microservices for the Recall Suite of Applications.
Responsibilities
• Serve as a core member of an engineering team that designs and develops web services, webpages, APIs, and microservices.
• Collaborate with other product teams on integrations, testing, and deployments.
• Ensure software engineering excellence, including best practices and quality, within the product team.
• Collaborate with other product teams to:
• Reduce complexity across the product or product line.
• Enhance interoperability between services.
• Make key design decisions across the portfolio.
• Innovate and operate with an iterative, agile, and user-centric perspective.
• Demonstrate software engineering excellence by actively coding, pairing, and performing code and architecture reviews with other software engineers within the product line.
• Work effectively with technical specialists, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, and business partners.
• Participate in Agile practices using JIRA, backlogs, iterations, user stories, or similar Agile tools.
Job Requirements
Details:
Experience Required
• 5+ years of progressive responsibility in software engineering, architecture, and Agile frameworks.
• 5+ years of experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, React.js and/or Angular.
• 3+ years of experience with modern databases, including relational and non-relational databases.
• 2+ years of experience developing and deploying applications to cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure.
• Deep understanding of object-oriented design principles.
• Demonstrated understanding and experience developing API solutions.
• Experience with cloud services and platform technologies.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools and pipelines, including one or more of the following: Tekton, Jenkins, Terraform, SonarQube, Maven, Gradle, GitHub Actions, Apigee X.
Testing and Code Quality Requirements
• Proven experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodology.
• Familiarity with eXtreme Programming (XP) practices, including, Pair programming, Mob programming, Test-first development, Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Strong knowledge of frontend testing frameworks, including Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright.
• Strong knowledge of backend testing frameworks, including JUnit 5, Mockito, Testcontainers, Spring Boot Test.
• Experience with Clean Code principles and design patterns, including SOLID, Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
• Proficiency with code quality and formatting tools, including SonarQube, ESLint, Prettier, Checkstyle.
• Understanding of refactoring techniques and legacy code improvement.
Experience Preferred
• Experience serving as a core member of an engineering team developing web services, webpages, APIs, and microservices.
• Experience collaborating with product teams on integrations, testing, and deployments.
• Experience ensuring software engineering excellence within a product team.
• Experience making cross-product design decisions and improving service interoperability.
• Experience working in iterative, Agile, and user-centered environments.
• Experience with JIRA, backlogs, iterations, user stories, or similar Agile tools.
• Experience working with technical specialists, Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, and business partners.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.
• Familiarity with XP practices, including Pair/Mob Programming and TDD.
Education Required
• Bachelor's Degree.
