Overview: This role is responsible for ensuring the food served is safe, high quality, and consistent across all restaurant locations. The position partners closely with suppliers to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and company requirements through audits, assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The role also plays a proactive part in strengthening food safety and quality programs by establishing standards, implementing best practices, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. In collaboration with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Product Development, Category Management, and Risk Management, this position helps investigate and resolve food safety or product quality concerns while developing preventative solutions to minimize future risk.
Additionally, the role supports commercialization efforts by ensuring new or modified products meet all food safety and quality expectations before launch. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing supplier audits and compliance reports, conducting audits and product evaluations, supporting regulatory and documentation requirements, partnering with suppliers to improve food safety practices, responding to food safety incidents or claims, and assisting with new product introductions from a quality and safety perspective.
Overall, this is a highly collaborative, hands-on role focused on supplier management, food safety, and quality assurance to ensure products consistently meet company and regulatory standards before reaching customers.
