Position Overview

Fusion Innovation is seeking a Front Office Communications Officer to support the development of a newly established directorate. Working closely with the government communications lead and senior stakeholders, this individual will curate, develop, coordinate, and disseminate communications across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring sound judgment, excellent writing skills, and experience supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced government environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with communications leadership to develop and implement directorate-wide communication strategies.
  • Curate, draft, edit, and disseminate communications for internal stakeholder audiences.
  • Prepare leadership messages, announcements, briefings, talking points, articles, and web content.
  • Establish and maintain communication processes, editorial standards, and content calendars.
  • Coordinate with offices and program teams to identify communication needs and gather relevant information.
  • Ensure communications are accurate, timely, consistent, and aligned with leadership priorities.
  • Manage and publish content through WordPress and other internal communication platforms.
  • Advise senior stakeholders on messaging, audience considerations, and communication approaches.
  • Support organizational branding and ensure consistency across communication products.
  • Partner with graphic design personnel to create visually cohesive materials.
  • Manage content review, coordination, and approval workflows.
  • Evaluate communication effectiveness and recommend improvements.

Additional Details

Fusion Innovation anticipates the annual base salary for this position will generally range from $100,000 to $215,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to:

  • Years of direct applicable experience with this work and the customer
  • Relevant education, certifications, and training
  • Contract labor category requirements, skill level, contract bill rate, and hours allocation
  • Alignment with the position's responsibilities
  • Additional specialized skills
