Job Summary and Qualifications

What you will do in this role:
  • You will utilize good problem-solving abilities, making sure that problems are resolved, calling on other knowledgeable parties as necessary.
  • You will maintain strong knowledge of hospital policies and government regulations and dispense accordingly.
  • You will consult with physicians and nursing staff regarding patient reactions, errors and complaints.
  • You will determine and consult on possible drug interactions.
  • You will assist with quality improvement initiatives, inventory and ordering of pharmaceuticals.
  • You will monitor, record and communicate as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
  • You will utilize knowledge of age specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilities.
  • They will be the pharmacist in charge and responsible for management of compliance and pharmacy operations at the FSED.
  • Expected schedule: full time 4 days per week, 8 hour shifts (day shift)


What qualifications you will need:

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Pharmacy
  • Licensure in the State of TN. Board Certification preferred
  • One-year hospital experience preferred. Residency preferred


TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is a150 bed hospital that has provided high-quality health care for over 40 years. The facility is the first Accredited Chest Pain Center in Sumner County and a Certified Primary Stroke Center. The Birth Center at TriStar Hendersonville, featuring Sumner County's only Level II NICU services which hosts spacious LDRP suites and a lactation boutique for inpatient and outpatient services. In addition, our facility is Gold Seal Certified in Total Hip and Total with The Joint Commission.
