Fragrance Development Manager, Perfumery & Beauty - Princeton, NJLocation: Princeton, NJ, US As a Fragrance Development Manager, Perfumery & Beauty, you'll drive mutual success by developing winning fragrance solutions for global brands. With your expertise in Beauty Consumer Goods evaluation, you'll partner closely with our global perfumer network. Consumer insight data, creative inspiration, and strategic thinking will strengthen the collaborative partnership with all key stakeholders. With your growth mindset, leadership and evaluation expertise, you'll develop and drive olfactive strategies, lead client presentations, influence key decisions and deliver on key growth opportunities.
Your Key Responsibilities:- Recommend and defend submissions with deep olfactive and brand knowledge
- Partner, Support and Guide Perfumers with precise feedback, olfactive strategy, consumer insights and brand knowledge
- Lead key fragrance development projects from brief to win, managing timing, quality, and team collaboration
- Utilize cutting-edge marketing, consumer insights, and innovation tools to support and strengthen proactive and reactive briefs
- Support and execute the category strategy with key stakeholders across multiple functions; Collaborate across multiple functions to lead client presentations
- Partner with the commercial team to define and drive development strategies that align with account ambitions
You Bring:- 2-5 years of experience in fragrance development in the beauty categories of skin cleansing, hair care, deodorants and/or bar soap
- Strong track record of project wins and successful olfactive recommendations
- Expertise in both olfactive structure and brand/market positioning
- Proven Leadership, communication, teamwork and project management skills
- Consumer Insight analysis experience is a benefit
- Passion for fragrance, curiosity and a growth mindset required
- Bachelor's degree required
The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will be based on the applicant's job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary $110,000-$135,000.
