Full Job Description
We're seeking someone to join our Segment Reporting & Analytics Team as an Associate in Investment Management Finance (IM Finance) to be involved in accounting, finance and process transformation, as well as calculating the Firm's P&L during the multi-year forecast processes.

In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is an Associate level position within the Financial Planning & Analysis job family, which is responsible for the firm's budget, forecast, internal management reporting and financial analysis to provide insight into the firm's current and expected financial performance. Additional responsibilities include expense allocation. FP&A is a contributor to the Firm's CCAR process.

What you'll do in the role:
- Develop and review monthly and quarterly revenue and expense forecasts, including assumptions, input validation, and model outputs across revenue, assets, and revenue-related expenses for the Equity, Fixed Income, and Alternatives businesses.

- Monitor and forecast current-quarter investment-related revenue on a weekly basis, incorporating foreign exchange activity, market performance, and net flow estimates.
- Prepare and review calculations and reporting materials that support selected quarterly external disclosures in the Firm's 10-K/Q filings.
- Conduct investment sensitivity analyses, develop reporting for key stakeholders, and address ad hoc requests from senior management.
- Maintain CCAR/QST stress testing models for regulator-mandated scenarios, including exposure and stress loss calculations for Firm Risk.
- Support new product launches by preparing initial Firm forecasts for review by the IM New Product Committee.
- Partner with business units and the IM Technology team to identify, design, and implement strategic reporting enhancements, including AI-enabled tools and process automation that improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and control effectiveness.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly AUM, net flows, and net revenue reporting packages and presentations for key stakeholders, including portfolio managers and senior business leaders.
- Serve as a key liaison among FP&A, business units, Firm Risk, and Corporate Accounting.
- Support ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives, as required.

What you'll bring to the role:
- Preferred Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Desired 3+ years of work experience
- Ability to translate complex financial datasets into clear, transparent reports for stakeholders
- Desired technical skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Powerpoint, PowerBI) and financial software applications, such as TM1
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to deal with colleagues/clients of all levels
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Committed and self-motivated individual who can demonstrate initiative and problem solving abilities
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work to and manage deadlines

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs
