Full Job Description
FP&A MANAGER
WASHINGTON, DC
WE'RE HIRING AN FP&A MANAGER, BASED IN DC!

The FP&A Manager plays a critical role in helping the company understand its financial performance and plan for the future. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while partnering closely with leaders across the organization to provide insights that drive better decisions.

As CYM continues to expand into new cities, the FP&A Manager will help build scalable financial planning processes, develop reporting and dashboards that increase visibility into performance, and support capital planning for new shop openings. This role sits at the center of finance and operations and will translate financial data into clear insights that support growth.

The ideal candidate has strong financial modeling skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys partnering with teams across the business to improve performance. You are comfortable working with large datasets, building tools and reports that simplify complex information, and helping leaders understand the financial impact of their decisions.

If you're picking up what we're laying down, keep reading!
YOU'LL CRUSH THIS ROLE IF YOU...
  • Have a bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Bring 5+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or a similarly analytical role.
  • Have supported restaurant, retail, or other multi-unit consumer businesses-or are excited to bring your experience into that world.
  • Have advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, with serious expertise in Excel.
  • Have built budgets, forecasts, and scenario analyses that help leaders understand what's happening, what could happen next, and how to prepare for it.
  • Know how to turn complex financial information into clear, actionable insights that teams can actually use.
  • Have built dashboards and reporting that bring key business metrics to life and make performance easy to understand.
  • Build strong partnerships across finance and non-finance teams, communicating your insights with clarity and confidence.
  • Lead with integrity, take ownership of your work, and sweat the details because you know accurate information leads to better decisions.
  • Are highly organized and can confidently juggle multiple priorities, projects, and timelines without losing sight of the bigger picture.
  • Bring initiative, curiosity, and a solutions-first mindset to every challenge.
  • Are always looking for smarter, more scalable ways to improve processes, reporting, and performance.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where the business-and your work-continues to evolve.
  • Are digging our BIG V.I.B.E.S. (Vibrancy, Integrity, Belonging, Energy, and Seize the Moment).

Shall we proceed? If you blurted out an audible "YES INDEED!" then please keep reading.
WHAT YOU'LL REALLY BE DOING
  • Own company-wide budgeting and forecasting from end to end, partnering side-by-side with Operations, Development, People, and Support teams to build thoughtful, accurate financial plans.
  • Compare actual performance against forecasts, dig into what's driving the results, and help leaders confidently plan for what's next.
  • Analyze sales, labor, food costs, and other key operating metrics to understand what's working, identify opportunities, and improve performance.
  • Turn complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that help leaders understand what's happening, why it's happening, and where to focus next.
  • Build financial models for new shop openings-including development costs, ramp-up assumptions, and projected returns-and partner with Development and Operations to evaluate opportunities and ensure our growth plans are financially sound.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and monthly reporting packages that make performance across our shops and Support teams easy to understand.
  • Partner across teams to evaluate initiatives, analyze investments, and quantify the financial impact of important business decisions.
  • Bring curiosity, sound judgment, and a solutions-first mindset to the questions that shape the future of Call Your Mother.
  • Continuously improve our financial planning tools, reporting processes, and data models, building more scalable ways of working as we grow into new shops and markets.
  • Help prepare board, investor, and leadership materials that clearly communicate company performance, financial outlook, and growth opportunities.
  • Roll up your sleeves. Some days you'll be deep in a financial model, some days partnering with Shop and Support leaders, and some days preparing insights for executives and investors. We believe the best finance partners stay close to both the numbers and the people behind them.
AND FINALLY, IF YOU NEED MORE REASONS TO APPLY:
  • Competitive salary $130,000, plus annual bonus opportunity and stock options.
  • Health Insurance. Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Unlimited paid time off because you deserve it...duh.
  • 100% Paid, 12 week parental leave for time with the itty, bitty baby!
  • 401(k) with 4% company match. Plan for a bright and beautiful future!
  • Step your knowledge game up. Free English and Spanish classes, plus Duolingo reimbursement.
  • Early Wage Access. Instantly get up to 50% of your eligible earned wages before payday!
  • Real support when life gets complicated. Confidential therapy and professional resources for mental health, legal guidance, financial wellness, and more.
