OverviewThe Opportunity:
Apex Service Partners has grown quickly over the last 7 years through organic growth and mergers/acquisitions, and we are looking to grow our team to support additional companies in our network. The open FP&A Analyst role will sit on the West Regional Partners Services team and support local brands across 11+ states in the Western U.S.
Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you will be responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly FP&A reporting needs in the West region. In your role, you will have the chance to learn the business, work directly with senior leadership, and take advantage of future opportunities within the company to ascend into management, operations, finance, or other desired career paths.
We are looking for someone in the early stages of their finance career who is energetic and eager to learn!
This role is based fully on-site at our West Regional office located in Denver, Colorado.
Responsibilities:
- Own the monthly reporting process and distribution of financial results to operations teams and senior leadership
- Own the recurring FP&A reporting cycle across a variety of daily, weekly and monthly insights including weekly P&L forecasts, technician performance, cashflow trends, labor margins, and other operational KPI’s
- Assist the accounting team with month-end close activities to ensure P&L accuracy
- Assist the FP&A Manager with annual budgeting and forecasting processes
- Assist the FP&A Manager with ongoing ad-hoc and special projects including ROI analysis on capital investments, headcount planning, and other growth initiatives
- Assist the FP&A Manager with recurring M&A efforts including integration of historical financial data for acquired companies into our financial reporting systems
- Work directly with our Data & Insights team to develop and leverage various data tools to enhance reporting capabilities
- Work closely with local operations teams in each of our markets to support ongoing finance-related needs such as P&L optimization, pay-plan optimization, and pricing
- Serve as a thought partner with the accounting team to help improve month-end close processes and increase accuracy of financial reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or similar
- 1+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, private equity, management consulting, accounting, or similar corporate finance functions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Working understanding of core financial modeling concepts
- Working understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
- Takes initiative, eager to learn, problem solve, and develop in your career
- Master’s degree / CPA / MBA a plus
