Founding Sales EngineerAs Founding Sales Engineer, you will be the technical face of Corridor for every prospect we engage. Reporting to the General Manager and partnering directly with our founding Account Executive, you'll win our earliest enterprise customers, design the technical sales motion, and turn deep product knowledge into a repeatable demo, POV, and discovery playbook. This is a 01 role with outsized influence on the product, the GTM motion, and the customers we serve.
What you'll do- Partner with the founding Account Executive to drive every opportunity - from technical discovery and demo through proof-of-value and close.
- Run live demos and architecture deep-dives for security leaders, platform teams, and engineering executives, meeting each audience in its own language.
- Design and execute Proof-of-Value engagements inside customer environments, including integrating Corridor with Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and the customer's CI/CD and SDLC tooling.
- Translate the customer's reality - their agentic coding workflows, AppSec tooling, and internal security policies - into a Corridor implementation plan that delivers measurable value.
- Build the foundation of our SE function: demo environments, discovery frameworks, POV success criteria, technical objection handling, and competitive collateral.
- Serve as the closed loop between the field and the product team, surfacing patterns, requests, and competitive insight directly to engineering and leadership.
- Represent Corridor at industry events, customer onsites, and AppSec and AI-security forums.
What you'll bring- 5+ years in a sales engineering, solutions architecture, or pre-sales role, ideally selling into security, AppSec, or developer-tools buyers.
- A track record of winning technical evaluations against incumbents at enterprise customers, including selling to and influencing CISOs, VPs of Engineering, and Heads of AppSec.
- Hands-on fluency with the modern software development lifecycle: Git, CI/CD, IDEs, and code review workflows.
- Working understanding of application security: SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets management, secure SDLC, threat modeling, and vulnerability triage.
- Comfort with AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) and the security risks they introduce - or the curiosity and velocity to get there fast.
- A builder's mindset. You'll arrive without a playbook and be excited to write it.
- Strong verbal and written communication: equally credible whiteboarding with an engineering lead and presenting to a security executive.
- Willingness to travel up to ~30% for customer onsites, POVs, and industry events.
Nice to have- Experience at an early-stage startup (Seed to Series B) where you helped build the SE function.
- Background in DevSecOps, AppSec, or developer tools (e.g., Snyk, Semgrep, GitHub Advanced Security, Wiz, Endor Labs, Chainguard).
- Hands-on coding background or a prior engineering role; comfort writing scripts to support a POV.
- Familiarity with agentic coding workflows, MCP integrations, and modern AI developer tooling.
- Existing relationships in security or AppSec leadership communities.
