Qualifications

• Current ServSafe certification provided upon hire if not already certified.
• Preferred Certified Food Manager; Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification is a plus.
• 2-3 years of management experience in food service at long-term care facilities, hospitals, or healthcare settings is strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of large-scale and therapeutic food preparation.
• Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
• Basic proficiency in computer skills including Outlook Email, Microsoft Office, and Meal Tracker.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and assign staff, manage payroll, and handle new hire documentation.
• Ensure compliance within established budgetary constraints for food service operations.
• Manage ordering and purchasing of food and related supplies.
• Maintain knowledge of regulations and oversee survey inspection processes.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate dietary staff for adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Oversee cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, storage, dining areas, and equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
