Qualifications

• 3+ years managing maintenance for transit bus operations of similar complexity.
• Experience leading teams of 10+ maintenance staff.
• Recent work managing a fleet of 50+ buses.
• Previous exposure to passenger transportation environments is preferred.
• Strong client management and interface skills are necessary.
• Expertise in parts inventory and supplier management.
• Ability to prioritize and oversee work schedules and assignments.
• Experience in managing financial aspects of fleet maintenance operations.
• Effective written and oral communication skills are essential.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledgeable in vehicle repair and preventive maintenance for varying vehicle types.
• ASE or similar certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day maintenance activities for a fixed route bus operation.
• Ensure compliance with all contractual maintenance requirements.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance reports.
• Manage the budget for the maintenance program effectively.
• Lead and develop a maintenance team of technicians and service workers.
• Interface with clients to ensure needs and standards are met.
• Track and manage parts inventories and vendor relations.
