Maintenance Managerwho is responsible for overseeing all maintenance and repair programs for a revenue fleet of over 100+ vehicles, support vehicles, and all assigned buildings and facilities for transit operations. In addition to leading the department, the preferred candidate will oversee and maintain the reliability and safety of the fleet, utilizing the industry's best practices. The Maintenance Manager is primarily responsible for, but not limited to:
Job Responsibilities:- Ensure that the Agency's performance standards are adhered to and ensure that all vehicles are systematically inspected, maintained, and repaired while minimizing downtime.
- Distribute daily work assignments.
- Motivate and encourage productivity within the Department.
- Keep clear and up-to-date records of all repairs made within the department.
- Make, process, monitor, and close all daily work orders.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
QualificationsTalent Requirements: - High School, or GED equivalent, minimum
- Possess an ASE Automobile Service Master Technician certification in Automobile, Medium heavy-duty truck, or transit bus.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience managing the maintenance of a revenue passenger fleet of over 100+ paratransit vehicles.
- Possess the basic technical and repair knowledge of maintenance processes, particularly as it relates to safety guidelines/parameters, inspection, and repair of major components, mechanical, electrical/electronic, HVAC, structural, and building and grounds maintenance.
- Operation knowledge of mandated safety principles related to personal protective equipment, chemical hazards, lockout/tagout, and general shop safety and cleanliness practices.
- Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, and familiarity with vehicle maintenance information systems and work order processes.
- Good written and verbal communication skills that will facilitate clear communication with the Director of Maintenance and all other employees.
- Knowledge of basic part and component replacement processes.
- Carry out all assignments in a prompt and timely manner.
- Obtain a Commercial Driver's License and keep in good standing with the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
Starting salary range: $118,000 - $138,000
