Responsibilities

  • Manage Title V Air Permit compliance, performing monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting activities.
  • Oversee stormwater sampling, monitoring, and reporting per SWPPP standards, ensuring timely submission of DMRs.
  • Administer hazardous and non-hazardous waste programs including disposal, manifest tracking, and records maintenance.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on environmental reporting areas like groundwater monitoring and Greenhouse Gas reporting.
  • Support compliance across various environmental media as necessary.

Job Description

As an Environmental Safety Engineer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the organization's Environmental Safety engineering efforts. You will ensure the highest standards of health and safety for employees, compliance with safety and environmental regulations and industry standards, and the implementation of best practices.

Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders will ensure that HSE considerations are integrated into business processes and decision-making, contributing to the overall success and reputation of our business as a responsible and sustainable organization.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage Title V Air Permit compliance, including required monitoring, recordkeeping, and regulatory reporting activities.
  • Ensure stormwater sampling, monitoring, and reporting are conducted in accordance with the SWPPP, including timely submission of Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs).
  • Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste programs, including waste characterization, disposal, manifest tracking, and maintenance of waste stream records.
  • Also serve as the Environmental subject matter expert for other environmental reporting to include but not limited to (groundwater monitoring, injection wells, Greenhouse Gas, TRI, Tier II, CERCLA and TSCA).
  • Support other media compliance as needed

  • 3-5 years of experience in Environmental compliance in a chemical plant or manufacturing environment
  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices
  • Proficiency in HSE Management Systems
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities
