What You Will Do:- As a Senior Consultant in Guidehouse's Commercial Financial Services practice, you will play a key role in delivering client engagements by analyzing problems, developing solutions, and supporting implementation efforts. You will work as part of a client-facing team, contributing to one or more workstreams and collaborating closely with project leadership to ensure successful outcomes.
- Support delivery of client engagements by executing discrete workstreams and producing high-quality, timely analyses and deliverables
- Conduct research, data analysis, and process assessments (e.g., process mapping, control evaluation) to inform client recommendations
- Develop clear, well-structured reports, presentations, and client-ready materials
- Participate in client meetings, including working sessions and status updates, contributing insights and progress updates
- Collaborate with team and engagement leadership to track deliverables, timelines, and risks
- Support implementation of recommended solutions and operational improvements
- Build foundational client relationships through consistent, professional engagement
What You Will Need:- Bachelor's degree
- 3-5 years of experience in the banking industry or commercial financial services consulting
- Experience supporting projects in one or more of the following areas:
- Operational risk and/or large bank compliance
- Banking regulations and compliance
- Risk and controls assessments, including process mapping
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience developing client-ready deliverables
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (incl Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to manage workstreams and meet deadlines
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within and across teams
- Ability to work onsite at client locations in New York City plus travel as needed
What Would Be Nice To Have:- Prior experience in management consulting
- Exposure to Global Systemically Important Banks (GSIBs)
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, Lean Six Sigma, PMP)
- Advanced degree (MBA, MA/MS in a related field)
The annual salary range for this position is $107,000.00-$178,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
