Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP is seeking a Financial Services Sector Manager to support the intentional coordination, execution, and growth of our Financial Services strategy. This role supports a firmwide effort to more systematically organize and amplify sector activity-ensuring longstanding strengths are supported by a consistent, disciplined marketing and business development approach. Our Financial Services sector is rooted in decades of substantive work with leading institutions, dating back to the earliest years of the firm. Building on this strong foundation, the firm is now initiating a more intentional, coordinated marketing and business development strategy for Financial Services as part of our broader sector-driven approach.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support preparatory and foundational work for launching the Financial Services sector, including research, materials, and coordination.
- Translate leadership direction into structured plans, timelines, and execution steps as the sector framework is rolled out.
- Assist with development of initial sector materials, market insights, and experience summaries.
- Support early-stage business development efforts, including research and pitch support as opportunities arise.
- Track relevant Financial Services market, regulatory, and industry developments and synthesize insights for internal use.
- Help establish and maintain basic operational processes, including trackers, calendars, and internal coordination.
- Adapt priorities and execution approaches as the sector evolves, escalating issues and gaps appropriately.
REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, public policy, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
- 5-8 years of experience in advisory, consulting, strategy, operations, or industry-focused roles.
- Experience in environments such as:
- Big Four accounting or advisory firms
- Consulting firms
- Financial institutions (banks, asset managers, insurers, private equity)
- Fintech or financial infrastructure organizations
- Law firms (non-marketing roles preferred)
- Regulatory or policy organizations
- Ability to engage credibly on Financial Services topics including regulatory frameworks, market structure, and industry trends.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); comfort adopting new systems and using AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, analysis, and execution.

COMPENSATION: The national average salary range for this role is $92,000-$130,000. Starting salary will be determined based on location, qualifications, and experience.
