Full Job Description
Financial Reporting Senior Analyst

The firm is looking to recruit a Financial Reporting Senior Analyst with a unique blend of experience in private credit, technical accounting, and financial reporting to support the growth of Millennium's new private credit business - specifically to assist with the evaluation of critical accounting and financial reporting matters for new investments, transactions and acquisitions in coordination with stakeholders from across the firm. The role will cover a wide range of ad hoc projects as the private credit business continues to develop, which will require the ideal candidate to possess deep technical expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to quickly adjust and reprioritize their work assignments.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Review, understand and interpret details of complex investment transactions (including thorough reviews of legal documents) to identify technical accounting and financial reporting issues and requirements timely
  • Provide guidance on accounting treatment for the firm's private credit activities, strategic transactions, and business development initiatives
  • Actively participate in internal and external deal discussions to ensure transactions are optimally structured and accounted for
  • Document robust technical accounting analysis and engage directly with external advisors and auditors to formalize conclusions
  • Work collaboratively with teams across the firm from Business Development, Structuring, Legal, Tax, Operations, Investor Relations and other Finance groups as a trusted commercial business partner, including facilitating clear and consistent cross-functional communication
  • Prepare and/or review internal reporting materials on an ongoing basis for the private credit business, as well as related U.S. GAAP financial statements and footnote disclosures
  • Provide ad hoc support to other workstreams and team members across the Financial Reporting & Accounting Policy group related to the broader Millennium business, including monthly reporting and year-end audit processes


Qualifications/Skills Required

  • 6+ years of experience working in an audit/accounting/financial services role at a Big 4 public accounting firm and/or in industry at a private credit fund (experience of both a plus)
  • CPA (or equivalent) required
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP technical accounting matters, with specific practical experience of accounting for investment companies under ASC 946
  • Extensive knowledge of credit-related investment products, related accounting and disclosure requirements under U.S. GAAP, and broader operational and valuation considerations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate complex accounting concepts to various stakeholders in practical terms
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and accountability/ownership of work
  • Ability to multi-task and meet short deadlines in a demanding professional environment
  • Proactive and dynamic personality that is confident engaging with external advisors and internal stakeholders from across the business, including members of management
  • Strong technical proficiency with web applications and Microsoft Office applications (proficiency with other financial reporting systems, Alteryx, and AI tools a plus)


Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual's experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
