The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Financial Readiness (FR) Manager leads a team delivering financial support to warriors and their families, including crisis intervention and sustainable financial readiness services. This role oversees caseloads, service quality, and outcomes; coaches and develops teammates; and ensures timely, accurate, and compassionate support. The FR Manager also guides complex cases, maintains compliance and reporting standards, and drives workflow improvements and cross-functional coordination to ensure services are efficient, measurable, and impactful.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Financial Readiness team by establishing clear expectations, managing performance, and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and service excellence.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement by evaluating workflows, removing operational barriers, and implementing scalable solutions that enhance efficiency, consistency, and the experience of warriors and their families.
- Oversee end-to-end program delivery, ensuring high-quality financial education, accurate resource navigation, and timely distribution of financial assistance to warriors and their families.
- Leverage data, reporting, and performance metrics to monitor outcomes, identify trends, and inform decisions that strengthen program effectiveness and service delivery.
- Manage complex, escalated, and urgent cases with sound judgment, ensuring equitable, trauma-informed, and compassionate support while mitigating risk.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., mental health, benefits, employment) to coordinate holistic support and lead initiatives that improve integration and program impact.
- Lead change management efforts by communicating priorities, aligning team execution, and reinforcing adoption of new processes, tools, and strategies.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies, program guidelines, and documentation standards, ensuring accuracy and integrity within case management systems.
- Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles.

EXPERIENCERequirements- Five years of experience in financial counseling, financial education, or personal financial management services.
- One year of direct staff management experience.
Preferences- Two years of experience working with military or veteran's population.
- Two years of experience with Salesforce.
- Two years of experience using planning/scheduling software.
EDUCATIONRequirements- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, financial management, or relevant field. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
PreferencesCERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURERequirements- Ability to obtain ASIST Certification within 1 year of hire.
Preferences- Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) or pursuing accreditation.
- Certified Financial Health Counselor (CFHC).
- ASIST Certification.

For Colorado Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between $82,790 - $103,488 base salary, subject to a candidate's combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.
For Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, and San Diego, CA and Washington state Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between $90,675 - $113,344 annual base salary, subject to a candidate's combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. For Washington, D.C. Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between $94,617 - $118,272 annual base salary, subject to a candidate's combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.
For New York Applicants: The estimated hiring range for this position is between $98,560 - $123,200 annual base salary, subject to a candidate's combination of experience, qualifications, and credentials. This position may also be eligible for an annual performance incentive.
