Full Job Description
Bloomberg is looking for a highly collaborative and motivated individual to join the Data and Technology Products Communications team, supporting the Bloomberg Terminal business. Reporting into the team's leadership, you will be an adviser to business leaders and be responsible for helping drive communications efforts to underscore the Bloomberg Terminal innovation narrative to media, analysts, and the broader financial community. This is a role for someone who enjoys every part of the process, from setting strategy to directing execution, and who is comfortable translating that work into tangible outcomes. This is a pivotal moment as AI reshapes how financial professionals use Bloomberg products to find information, communicate and make decisions. We are looking for a communications specialist who is energized by telling that story early and often - crafting unique, compelling narratives on financial technology, AI and the markets, with an eye on what's coming next. Business areas where knowledge is preferred include: investment research, trading workflows, capital markets and the sales and trading desk, and conversational AI/emerging technology. To be successful in this role, the successful candidate must thrive in an environment where they are expected to handle multiple tasks concurrently, be highly proactive, extremely organized, creative in solving problems and diplomatic in dealing with others. As part of this team, you will: • Identify and develop compelling forward-looking stories that describe Bloomberg's role in shaping the future of financial technology, AI and market innovation. • Help translate the complexity of Bloomberg's solutions - including emerging AI capabilities - into pitches, press releases and content that reiterates Bloomberg as a leading provider of financial technology solutions. • Contribute to the development of communications plans and campaigns that support product strategy and monitor the media landscape for actionable insights. • Build and maintain relationships with media, industry analysts and others in financial and technology circles. • Support the development of business and product messaging for spokespeople, with an ability to make complex or technical products (including AI tools) simple and compelling for a broad audience. • Apply rigorous attention to metrics, monitor progress and incorporate insights and trends into communications strategies to drive successful outcomes. • Collaborate with a global team of communications and marketing colleagues to ensure message and tactic consistency. You'll need to have: • At least four-seven years of communications/public relations experience in-house or at an agency. • Experience working with a financial firm or technology company that serves the financial sector. • Familiarity with the media outlets, reporters and industry analysts that cover the capital markets, technology and/or the financial industry. • Experience developing global media strategies, shaping messaging, creating compelling content and pitching stories, including on complex or technical subject matter. • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. • A healthy balance of autonomy, collaboration and cooperation. We'd love to see: • Experience with reporters or analysts who cover AI or emerging technology. • Understanding of, or strong interest in, investment research and sales/trading workflows. Does this sound like you? Apply if you think we're a good match. We'll get in touch to let you know what the next steps are, but in the meantime feel free to have a look at: https://www.bloomberg.com/company/what-we-do/ Salary Range = 110,000 - 135,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting.
