The FP&A Manager oversees the organization's financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities. This role leads budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis to deliver timely, accurate, and actionable insights that drive operational and strategic decision-making.
Partnering closely with finance leadership and department stakeholders, the FP&A Manager analyzes financial results, identifies trends, and prepares reporting that advances business objectives and strengthens operational performance.
What You'll Do
- Prepares and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Produces management reporting, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Oversees the FP&A team
- Delivers financial analysis and insights that inform operational and business decisions
- Develops, maintains, and updates annual budgets and periodic forecasts
- Partners with department leaders to gather, review, and validate budget and forecast inputs
- Monitors performance against budget and forecast and prepares variance explanations
- Builds and maintains financial models to support planning, forecasting, pricing, and strategic initiatives
- Conducts scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate potential financial outcomes and impacts
- Fulfills ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests as needed
- Ensures the accuracy and consistency of financial data used in reporting and analysis
- Adheres to internal standards, policies, and procedures
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned
- Leads any future FP&A software implementation
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 6–8 years of experience in an FP&A or related finance role
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including the preparation of presentation-ready materials
- Solid understanding of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Experience with FP&A software
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to organize, interpret, and summarize financial data effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
