Legal Financial Manager (Hybrid)

Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Project Manager (LPM) to partner with attorneys and business professionals to drive matter efficiency, financial performance, and client value. This role is ideal for a forward-thinking professional who is passionate about legal operations, financial management, process improvement, and leveraging AI-enabled technology to transform how legal services are delivered.
What You'll Do
As a Legal Project Manager, you will help attorneys successfully manage matters from inception through completion by providing strategic financial oversight and project management support.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and managing matter budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
  • Monitoring financial performance, including budget-to-actual results, WIP, realization, collections, and budget variances
  • Partnering with attorneys to manage scope, staffing, financial risks, and client expectations
  • Preparing financial reports, accruals, and budget updates for clients, attorneys, and firm leadership
  • Leveraging AI-enabled tools and firm technology to improve matter management, decision-making, reporting, and efficiency
  • Collaborating with Pricing, Finance, Billing, and other business services teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
  • Driving adoption of legal project management best practices and enhancing reporting, processes, and financial systems

Qualifications

Compensation
Washington, DC Salary Range: $145,000 - $170,000 annually
Actual compensation will vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location.
