Description
This position offers comprehensive accounting, auditing, budgeting, and financial support services for the CPO Administrative Services Division (ASD) and specific program offices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain subsidiary ledgers, balance/reconcile accounts weekly, and prepare documents for cost adjustments.
  • Review invoices, reconcile budget execution data, and prepare monthly expenditure vs. spend plan reports.
  • Prepare budget formulation narratives, exhibits, and Q&A documents for formal budget submissions to OAR, NOAA, DOC, OMB, and Congress.
  • Forecast future budgetary needs by performing specialized analyses on historical expenditure data.
  • Prepare cooperative/reimbursable agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) for routing and approval.
  • Maintain official digital files ( "jackets ") documenting decision processes and funding approvals.

Required:
  • BS/BA in relevant fields
  • Proven experience (> 5 years) in financial/budget analyses
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding relevant policies and regulations with respect to federal budgeting

Preferred:
  • Previous experience in a similar capacity
