Description

Position Overview

Chartis Federal is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide financial management, budget execution, and reporting support to the Customer's Strategic Planning Office (SPO). The Financial Analyst will support budget planning activities, monitor financial execution, prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, and assist leadership in tracking program funding and expenditures. This position works closely with Government personnel and the Lead Financial Analyst to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective budget management.

This position is contingent upon award.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor program funding, obligations, expenditures, and budget execution activities.
  • Maintain budget tracking tools, financial records, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare recurring financial reports, budget status updates, and execution summaries.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of program and organizational budgets.
  • Analyze financial data and identify trends, variances, and potential funding concerns.
  • Support financial forecasting and budget planning activities.
  • Collect, validate, and consolidate financial information from multiple stakeholders.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analyses in response to Customer requests.
  • Support preparation of financial briefings, presentations, and leadership reports.
  • Assist with reconciliation of budget data and financial records.
  • Coordinate with Government personnel regarding funding status and financial requirements.
  • Ensure assigned financial products and deliverables are completed accurately and within established deadlines.


Requirements

  • Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience supporting financial management, budget analysis, program financial support, or related federal government financial activities.
  • Experience preparing financial reports, budget status reports, or financial analyses.
  • Experience monitoring budgets, obligations, expenditures, or funding execution.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense organizations.
  • Experience supporting research and development (R&D) programs.
  • Experience supporting federal budget execution activities.
  • Experience preparing financial reports and briefings for senior leadership.
  • Experience working with financial management systems and budget tracking tools.
