Job Description

As a Financial Analyst III within LSG Digital Finance, you will support the FP&A Engagement team and help shape the future of digital finance. You will partner with Finance and technical teams to deliver innovative analytics, reporting, and planning solutions across Spend, P&L, and Measured Cash Flow.

This role offers a unique opportunity to combine finance, data, technology, and change leadership, turning business needs into scalable digital solutions that improve decision-making and user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with FP&A and Spend teams to understand business needs and provide functional support for business intelligence and analytics tools.

  • Collaborate with Finance and technical Enablement teams to design and deliver standardized, scalable finance solutions.

  • Support change management, communications, and training (CC&T) activities to drive successful implementation and sustained adoption of new tools and capabilities.

  • Ensure data integrity across financial dashboards, reports, key performance indicators, and analytics.

  • Translate finance requirements into clear technical specifications, wireframes, and user stories for development teams.

  • Develop user documentation, training materials, and implementation resources.

  • Assess data readiness, validate data quality, and support user acceptance testing for new features and enhancements.

  • Troubleshoot user, system, and data issues; coordinate resolution with technical teams and communicate progress to stakeholders.

  • Gather user feedback and recommend enhancements that improve usability, consistency, scalability, and business value.

  • Use approved generative AI tools and Codex, where appropriate, to accelerate requirements drafting, documentation, user communications, SQL/Python review, test-case development, issue analysis, data validation, and repeatable product support activities.

  • Identify and pilot practical opportunities to use AI, Codex, automation, and reusable workflows to reduce manual effort, improve product support, strengthen adoption tracking, accelerate documentation, enhance user enablement, and scale digital finance capabilities.

Requirements

Core competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

  • Ability to translate technical concepts for finance and business audiences.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with experience supporting the implementation and adoption of new tools and processes.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions and within a matrixed organization.

  • High attention to detail and a consistent track record of delivering high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment.

Technical skills:

  • Basic to intermediate SQL experience preferred, or willingness to develop data querying skills.

  • Experience with Databricks, Python, cloud-based data tools, Git-based workflows, or AI-assisted development tools such as Codex preferred but not required.

  • Familiarity with agile product delivery, Jira, user stories, acceptance criteria, scrum ceremonies, testing, release readiness, or digital product support preferred.

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new digital, analytics, and AI-enabled finance capabilities.

  • 3+ years' experience in finance or data-focused roles involving business intelligence, analytics, planning, forecasting, and reporting.

  • Understanding of data orchestration, refresh scheduling, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.

  • Proficiency in Power BI and Excel. React is preferred but not required.

  • Experience with Thermo Fisher financial tools, including CMR and PLN, is preferred.

  • Travel: <5% domestic/international travel required

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $83,300.00–$125,000.00.
