Position

Financial Analyst II

Location Arden, NC

This role supports the Industrial Solutions Leadership team, initially working in the Arden facility and will transition to a new production facility within the Western Carolina region.

Job purpose

The BorgWarner Arden campus offers two world class technical centers and a cutting-edge manufacturing facility that designs and produces turbos, fan, and fan drive components for the automotive industry. The Arden campus offers a multitude of career opportunities and is in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.

This position will make significant contributions in cost accounting, new business proposals, general accounting requirements, and ad hoc reporting.

Key responsibilities
  • Supports fixed asset and general cost accounting activities for the facility
  • Handles various month end responsibilities such as account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Will support legal entity requests, IRS tax reconciliations, and annual tax schedules
  • Assists in completing the monthly forecast and annual long range planning processes
  • Supports acquisition of new customer programs through business case analysis and quoting processes.
  • Performs other routine duties and ad hoc reports with analysis would be required as directed by the Finance Manager.
  • Expected to embrace continuous improvement and make contributions towards implementing changes in our systems and processes to increase productivity.

What we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent discipline preferred
  • SAP and OneStream software applications knowledge highly preferred
  • 3-5 years related work experience in Accounting, preferably in a Manufacturing Setting, is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Must have the ability to process significant amounts of data entry in a timely and accurately manner.
  • Attendance on the job is essential.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations.


Safety

This position will adhere to the BorgWarner Environmental Health and Safety Program by following all safety rules, procedures, practices, training, and safe use of equipment; this includes use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. This individual will work in a way that stresses the importance of preventing injury, accidents, or illnesses to themselves or co-workers by correcting or reporting unsafe situations, incidents, or occurrences to their Team Lead immediately.

Salary Range:
$70,400 - $96,800
