Reporting to the Senior Director, FP&A, this role provides tactical financial support for Global Enabling Functions (Finance, HR, Legal & Compliance, Corporate Affairs, etc.). The Financial Analyst will track and analyze departmental spending (OPEX, headcount, and CAPEX) and support detailed project and vendor spend visibility. Key processes include purchase order (PO) management, monthly close and reporting, quarterly forecasts, the annual budget cycle, and long-range planning. The analyst will help improve transparency into spend drivers, identify risks and opportunities, and support efficiency and resource optimization initiatives.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential as the role will communicate frequently with the Enabling Function teams across the globe. Key competencies include the ability to balance strategic and operational priorities, apply sound accounting/finance judgment to improve forecast accuracy and spending discipline, investigate drivers of results, and continuously improve processes through strong technical aptitude, collaboration and curiosity and eagerness to improve processes.
Essential Functions of the Job: - Manage daily purchase order approvals for accurate coding and budget alignment; ensure timely PO approval, accurate actual/budget mappings and resolve discrepancies with stakeholders.
- Support monthly/quarterly close activities by preparing and reviewing expense accruals/amortization schedule/reclasses and ensuring timely, accurate close.
- Prepare recurring management review packages (e.g., OPEX, CAPEX and HC, trend reports) and provide insights for business reviews.
- Perform variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast/prior period), identify key drivers, and communicate actionable insights, track follow-ups through resolution.
- Provide guidance on expense recognition for items such as prepaids, milestones, and capital expenditures to support accurate forecasting.
- Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecast cycles by gathering input from budget owners, validating assumptions, consolidating submissions, and documenting key drivers.
- Support ad hoc analysis and scenario modeling to support leadership decision-making and evolving business needs.
Education Required: - Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required, MBA or CPA preferred.
Qualifications: - BA/BS Degree with 2+ years of relevant experience in financial planning role, preferably in pharma or biotech organization.
- Strong planning, reporting and analytical skills with demonstrated business and systems impact in previous roles.
- Strong computer software skills (Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
- Ability to work with large datasets from multiple systems to build insights and reporting.
- Experience using financial systems, including skill with ERP (SAP or Oracle) and planning/reporting tools (e.g., TM1, Hyperion, Adaptive, etc.).
Travel:- Minimal travel throughout the U.S. may be required.

Salary Range: $87,400.00 - $117,400.00 annually
