Financial Analysis Manager (Tech Finance)
This role requires strategic thinking, analytical problem solving and executive level communication as you directly support our Technology organization through a period of large change.
You will have the opportunity to build relationships across Enterprise Finance & Analytics, Tech Finance, and a number of business partners; working collaboratively to deliver on strategic agendas.
Strong communication, problem solving, strategic thinking, and influencing skills are needed to effectively:
Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insights
Able to critically evaluate data and option sets and present recommendations
Partner with business leadership to assess the financial implications of continued investments in our Tech organization
Develop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to senior leadership audiences
Effective under both open-ended and tight timelines
General Responsibilities:
Financial analysis & reporting: Accurately analyze & explain key cost and allocation drivers and monthly variances, suggest actions to the business, and manage the regular reporting process
Lead the development of challenger forecasting frameworks, leveraging AI tools where relevant
Budgeting, forecasting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) management
Business presentations: Assist in development of presentations to communicate analysis results to senior audiences, clearly articulate outcomes of analysis to leadership teams
Ad-hoc requests and special projects
Independently manage and prioritize workload
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
At least 5 years’ experience in financial analysis
At least 5 years’ experience with financial modeling
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master’s Degree in Finance
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
6+ years’ experience in financial analysis
6+ years’ experience with financial modeling
4+ years’ experience in strategic analysis & planning
Proven business relationship, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
Demonstrated independent problem solving and strategic thinking abilities
Strong teamwork skills; ability to positively contribute to overall success of the team

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $151,900 - $173,400 for Manager, Financial AnalysisRichmond, VA: $138,100 - $157,700 for Manager, Financial Analysis
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
